Most gaming mice give you one click feel and that is that. The engineers tune it during manufacturing, box it up, and whatever you get is what you live with. Pwnage is pushing back on that assumption pretty hard with the Vanta, a new lightweight wireless mouse the company unveiled on August 3rd.

The headline feature is what Pwnage describes as the world’s first mechanically adjustable click geometry. As the company explained in a detailed video, the Vanta allows users to physically change how the buttons engage the microswitches. The practical result, according to Pwnage, is control over click force, initial resistance, the force curve, actuation feel, the break point, and return feel. You are not toggling a firmware setting here. You are turning a tiny screwdriver, which is included in the box, and changing the actual geometry of the button mechanism.

That is a meaningful distinction. Software adjustments to mouse sensitivity or polling rates are common. Hardware-level click tuning on a shipping consumer product is not something you see every day, and it speaks to a growing segment of the mouse market that treats peripherals with the same seriousness competitive shooters once reserved only for keyboards.

Lightweight Build, Adjustable Sensor

The Vanta’s physical specs are worth paying attention to. The mouse measures 120 x 60 x 39 mm in a symmetrical shape, which keeps it accessible to a wide range of grip styles. The shell is magnesium alloy, and the whole package comes in at 49 grams. For context, that is a featherweight result from a metal-shelled mouse, which usually trades some heft for durability.

Inside, Pwnage paired a Nordic nRF54L15 wireless controller with its custom XERO sensor. That sensor is based on the well-regarded PixArt PAW3950, a chip that has earned a strong reputation in the enthusiast mouse space. The XERO branding suggests Pwnage has tuned or modified the implementation beyond a straight reference design, though the company has not detailed those changes specifically.

The more unusual hardware detail is the adjustable sensor position. Beyond the click geometry system, Pwnage has engineered the Vanta so users can physically move and reposition the sensor to align it with their grip style and aiming preferences. A fixed sensor position is standard across virtually all gaming mice. The ability to shift it is the kind of feature that sounds almost unnecessary until you consider how much variance there is in how different players actually hold and push a mouse.

Pricing and Availability

The Vanta is available for preorder now. The standard configuration with PTFE skates starts at $159. A version equipped with glass skates runs $179. Pwnage is also offering four limited-edition color options at launch: Black, Platinum, Nacho, and White.

At $159 to $179, the Vanta is positioning itself squarely in the premium enthusiast tier, which is a crowded neighborhood. Finalmouse’s Starlight X, for instance, launched at $179 earlier this year at 38 grams with its own Nordic MCU and proprietary switches. The Vanta comes in a touch heavier at 49 grams but counters with the adjustable click geometry and sensor repositioning as differentiators that competitors are not currently offering.

Whether the real-world feel of that screwdriver-tunable click system justifies the price difference from capable midrange options is exactly the kind of question that hands-on time will answer. The concept, though, is one of the more genuinely novel mechanical ideas to show up in gaming mice in a while, and it reflects a broader trend of peripheral makers chasing the fraction of users who have very specific opinions about how a click should feel.
