THQ Nordic Has 12 Secret Games in Development Beyond Its Showcase

A Showcase With a Teaser Baked In

THQ Nordic wrapped up its latest Digital Showcase on Friday with a message that was probably more intriguing than anything it actually showed. According to the Austria-based publisher, it currently has 29 games in development. Only 17 of them have been revealed to the public. That means 12 titles are sitting somewhere in the pipeline, unnamed and unshown, waiting for their moment.

“As of today, THQ Nordic has a total of 29 games in development,” the end-of-presentation message read, as reported by Video Games Chronicle. “12 remain unannounced after this showcase.”

It is a confident thing to say out loud. Publishers often keep unannounced projects close to the chest without making a point of quantifying exactly how many secrets they are holding. THQ Nordic, apparently, wanted you to know.

The 17 Already on the Board

VGC compiled a list of the confirmed titles currently in the works, which gives a good sense of just how wide THQ Nordic’s slate actually runs. On the bigger-profile side, there is Darksiders 4, Gothic 1 Remake, Titan Quest 2, and Wreckfest 2. The list also includes Gothic 2 Complete Classic, Gothic 3 Classic, The Guild: Europa 1410, Expeditions: Samurai, Fatekeeper, Way of the Hunter 2, and Space for Sale.

Rounding things out are some interesting entries: a sequel set in the Road 96 universe, Let’s Sing 2027, Let’s Sing Abba, Call to Arms: Panzer Elite, The Eternal Life of Goldman, and a Switch 2 port of Epic Mickey Rebrushed.

That is a genuinely varied slate. Karaoke games and gothic RPGs and co-op horror sequels, all under one roof.

What the Showcase Actually Delivered

Beyond the headline numbers, Friday’s event had some concrete news. Expeditions: Samurai launched into Early Access on the same day as the showcase itself. Titan Quest 2, which entered Early Access during last year’s THQ Nordic showcase, received a major update. Both moves suggest the publisher is leaning into the Early Access model as a way to build community around projects before full release.

Developer DigixArt, which put out Tides of Tomorrow earlier this year, was revealed to be working on a new game set in the Road 96 universe, adding another entry to a franchise that has developed a quiet but devoted following since the original game.

The showcase also brought news for fans of Reanimal, a co-op horror game. The Prisoner, described as the first of three planned story DLC releases, is available now.

On the music side, THQ Nordic locked in a release date for two entries in its long-running Let’s Sing series. Both Let’s Sing 2027 and Let’s Sing Abba for Switch 2 are set for November 3.

Twelve Questions With No Answers Yet

The 12 unannounced games are the part of this story that will linger. THQ Nordic’s portfolio spans remakes, sequels to cult classics, simulation games, and licensed music titles, so the mystery projects could be almost anything. Given the Gothic Classic re-releases and the Epic Mickey Switch 2 port on the confirmed list, it would not be a stretch to expect more ports or archival releases in the mix. But Darksiders 4 and Titan Quest 2 also show the publisher is willing to continue building its bigger franchises.

For now, those 12 games exist as a number on a screen at the end of a livestream. THQ Nordic clearly wants that number to mean something, even if it is not ready to explain what yet.
