If your Nintendo Switch wallet has been quietly recovering since launch season, Sega has some thoughts on that. As reported by Nintendo Life, Sega is running a summer sale across its eShop catalog on both Switch 1 and Switch 2, with discounts reaching up to 70 percent off. The sale is live now and runs through the end of August.

Nintendo Life rounded up every discounted Sega title available on Nintendo platforms, listing them alphabetically with US and UK prices side by side. The breadth here is genuinely impressive, touching the Yakuza catalog, Sonic titles, Persona games, and some deeper catalog entries that do not usually see much spotlight.

The Highlights Worth Your Attention

The deal that Nintendo Life specifically called out as jaw-dropping is Sonic Mania, available for four British pounds at sale price. For US players, similar proportional cuts apply across the board. Sonic Mania is one of the most purely joyful platformers of the past decade, so if it has somehow escaped your library, this is a reasonable moment to fix that.

On the dungeon-crawling side, all three entries in the Etrian Odyssey HD series are discounted. Each originally launched on the eShop in June 2023 at prices Nintendo Life called astronomical for what are essentially straight HD ports of older portable titles. At sale prices, that calculus changes considerably. The site gave each a 7.7 and describes them as solid DRPGs worth the time, noting that Etrian Odyssey III is the strongest single pick if you are only grabbing one, thanks to the addition of sailing mechanics that open up its structure.

For players interested in anime fighters, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba: The Hinokami Chronicles 2 is also part of the sale. It released in August 2025 and sits at a 76 on Metacritic for the Switch version, according to Nintendo Life, which did not review the title itself but describes it as solid and serviceable. It is also listed as compatible with Switch 2.

Etrian Odyssey and the Case for Buying on Sale

The Etrian Odyssey entries deserve a little extra attention here because they represent the kind of game that rarely gets its due outside of deeply committed JRPG circles. These are first-person dungeon crawlers with cartographic mechanics that ask you to draw your own maps on the touchscreen, a concept that sounds tedious until about twenty minutes in when it becomes completely absorbing.

Nintendo Life is clear that the HD re-releases are not definitive versions and lack extra content some fans hoped for. But the writing is also clear that at a discounted price, that complaint softens considerably. Etrian Odyssey II HD drops to $13.99 from $39.99, and the first game goes to $11.99 from the same full price, according to the guide.

Nintendo Life notes there is no massive rush since the sale runs through August, but the end of the month has a way of arriving faster than expected.
