The second mechanic is “Chain Blast.” After knocking an opponent airborne, players can switch to a reserve ally and continue the assault with a blast attack, dealing heavy damage in a sequence that extends the punishment beyond what the base game allowed. Variations of existing stages will also arrive with this free update, which gives longtime players some fresh visual variety without requiring a purchase.
