A Full VALORANT Weekend Outside the Arena

The VCT EMEA Stage 2 Finals are headed to Barcelona, and Riot Games is making sure fans who can’t get inside the Olímpic Arena still have plenty to do. The VCT EMEA Barcelona Fan Fest runs August 28 to 30 in Badalona, the coastal municipality just northeast of central Barcelona where the arena sits, and entry is completely free. No Finals ticket required.

According to reporting by Dot Esports, the event is built as a standalone VALORANT celebration surrounding the main tournament rather than a simple viewing party. Attendees can expect team booths, creator meet-and-greets, mini-games, giveaways, and partner activations spread across two designated areas near the venue.

Friday runs from 1pm to 6pm CEST, while Saturday and Sunday both open at noon and close at 8pm CEST, giving fans three full days to take it all in.

How to Get There and What to Bring

The main Fan Fest entrance is on Carrer de Pau Claris. Fan Fest A Site sits around the back entrance of the Olímpic Arena, and Fan Fest B Site is positioned near the front entrance on Carrer de Ponent. From central Barcelona, the venue is roughly 30 minutes by public transit, reachable via Metro Lines 2 and 10, the Trambesòs tram to the Gorg stop, Bus H10, or the R1 commuter rail to Badalona.

Most of the Fan Fest is open to attendees aged 16 and above. Fan Fest B Site is the one exception, open to all ages, which makes it the spot for younger fans or families tagging along.

On the bag policy, Dot Esports notes that backpacks and small bags up to 25 liters (roughly A4 size) are permitted, similar to rules at Parc des Princes in Paris. Small amounts of food and non-alcoholic drinks are welcome, and free water refill stations will be on site. Alcohol is not sold or permitted anywhere at the Fan Fest or inside the arena.

Team Booths, Creator Meet-and-Greets, and Competitive Play

Four teams are confirmed for booths as of now: FUT Esports, Fnatic, Gentle Mates, and Team Heretics, the last of which is running its booth in collaboration with AORUS Gigabyte. Team Vitality is also confirmed. Each booth will feature its own activities, merchandise, photo moments, giveaways, and the opportunity to challenge a pro player in a 1v1 match. Teams that qualify for the Finals may add to that list closer to the event.

For fans who want to play rather than just spectate, the gaming area offers 1v1 Duels, 3v3 Retake, and 5v5 Swift Play formats. Saturday is the marquee day for competitive play: the 5v5 area transforms into a Circuito Tormenta tour stop, adding genuine stakes to the on-site matches.

Creator meet-and-greets will be hosted in a Razer-sponsored area. The final talent lineup from across the VALORANT EMEA ecosystem has not been announced yet, according to Dot Esports, and will be confirmed through VCT EMEA’s social channels.

Activities beyond the gaming area include Wingman’s Destination, a DIY Trencadís magnet workshop (a nod to Barcelona’s famous mosaic tradition), The Range, Defuse the Spike, and a VCT EMEA photo spot. Fans can also collect stamps in a KitKat mission booklet by completing various challenges throughout the weekend.

For anyone making the trip to Barcelona at the end of August, the Fan Fest gives the weekend significantly more texture than just the Finals matches alone.
