Stardew Valley Switch 2 Edition Gets a Physical Release from Fangamer

Stardew Valley fans who prefer their games on a cartridge just got some good news. Fangamer has announced a physical release of Stardew Valley for Nintendo Switch 2, and pre-orders went live this week. The standard edition is priced at $39, according to the announcement reported by Nintendo Life.

For that price, buyers get the base game, the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition upgrade pack, and perhaps the most charming detail in the whole announcement: an 18-page full color illustrated instruction manual. Physical game manuals have become something of a rarity, so that inclusion has already generated plenty of goodwill in the comments section. The cartridge ships with Version 1.6 already on it, and free updates will remain available for download going forward.

Shipping is scheduled for February 5, 2027, so this one requires some patience. Pre-orders are live on Fangamer’s website now.

The Switch 2 Edition of Stardew Valley, for anyone who missed its rollout, is not a separate purchase for players who already own the game on Switch.
